and École européenne de sciences politiques et sociales (ESPOL) cooperation

  3+2 Dual Degree Graduate Program (Wenzao Bachelor+ ESPOL Master)

 

Located in Lille, France, ESPOL offers a range of advanced interdisciplinary master's programmes in political and social sciences, taught in English. ESPOL is one of the top universities in Lille, France. It is ranked #1501+ in QS Word Sustainability Ranking 2025, notes Top Universities. ESPOL is a private school and awards its own master's degrees in partnership with the famous Catholic University of Lille. ESPOL's master's degree is recognized internationally and in Europe for its political science programs, as evidenced by the presence of its graduates around the world and its relationships with European institutions.

 

International and European recognition

-Recognition of courses: ESPOL offers master's programs in English that are recognized by its partners and the industry. Its graduates are seen as tomorrow's leaders with a good understanding of European values.
-Admission and recognition: ESPOL's master's degrees are awarded in partnership with the Catholic University of Lille. The recognition of degrees is a matter of academic quality and international reputation.
-Agreement with the Catholic University of Lille: ESPOL has an agreement with the Catholic University of Lille, one of the most prestigious universities in France, which awards master's degrees.

 

Recognition in France

-    Academic recognition: ESPOL has the status of a private higher education institution, which means that its degrees are recognized at the academic level, but not necessarily at the same level as French state degrees.
-    Professional recognition: ESPOL's master's degree is recognized in the French professional world. This is due to the quality of its programs and its network of graduates.

To support students in early planning for international graduate studies, the Department of French of Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages and ESPOL have launched three master programs. This opportunity allows bachelor Student complete three years at Wenzao and then pursue in two years a Master in ESPOL, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees within two years.

*required sufficient basis in EU politics and policy making 

 

II. Cooperation Model
- Students are eligible for nomination after completing five semesters of coursework.
- After completing the sixth semester (approximately three years), students may begin their studies at RSB.
- Students must successfully complete the wenzao above program with no reassessments or deferrals to be eligible.
-WENZAO students will be enrolled as full-time degree students at ESPOL as required by France student visa regulations.

 

III. Eligibility & Application
1. Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
2. English Proficiency:

-    TOEFL – 80 iBT or 550 PBT or 60 PDF
-    IELTS Academic – 6.0
-    PTE Academic – 54
-    Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Cambridge Certificate of
-    Proficiency in English (CPE) – grade C
-    TOEIC – 785

A language test is not required for native English speakers (Proof of French language proficiency is not required).

3. Submit five-semester transcripts, passport copy, English scores, proof of finances, 
etc.
4.  Undergraduate students must successfully complete the year 3 or the year 4 of the 5-year junior college program with no reassessments or deferrals; and achieve at least 90 Wenzao credits of the above-mentioned WENZAO program to be eligible.

 

IV. Tuition & English Support
- Tuition is charged at the ESPOL rate at ESPOL.
*Additional costs include living expenses, housing, insurance, textbooks, etc.
